These air fryer tuna melt patties make for a perfect lunch or quick dinner option, especially on busy weeknights when you don’t have much time to cook. They’re also great for meal prep on a keto diet as they can be stored in the fridge for a few days and reheated back in the air fryer.
I love how the air fryer gives these little tuna nuggets the most amazing crispy crust! You would almost think they were breaded and fried. Nope. Just some air fryer magic going on here. Eat these low carb tuna melts alone or dip them in your favorite sauce. I like Ranch dressing!
Ingredients
- 1 (7oz) can tuna in water (drained)
- 1 heaping cup shredded cheddar
- 1 large egg
- Optional seasoning (NO salt needed)
Step 1 Mix all of the ingredients together until well combined. You can optionally add in some seasoning such as black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne. I’d avoid salt because the tuna is already loaded with it.
Step 2 Form the tuna mixture into small, tightly packed patties and place them onto the bottom of your air fryer.
Step 3Air fry at 390°F for 12-16 minutes, flipping them over half way through. After making these a few times, I’ve discovered that they are more done than they look! They continue to crisp up as they cool down.
