This quick and easy keto biscuit recipe is made with simple low carb ingredients that you probably already have stocked in your pantry. The almond flour, sour cream and cheddar makes this simple recipe so hearty and delicious. I’d venture to say they’re even better than regular cheddar bay biscuits. Take THAT, Red Lobster!
There’s nothing better than the combination of cheddar and garlic when it comes to any kind of bread or biscuits. I could seriously inhale the entire batch in one sitting if I’m not careful.
Eat these heavenly biscuits alone as a savory snack or enjoy them as a low carb side to any keto friendly meal. I especially like dunking them in a low carb soup or eating them along side a healthy salad.
Easy Keto Cheddar Biscuits Recipe
Let’s get started shall we!? Here’s what you’ll need to make these easy keto biscuits: almond flour, baking powder, eggs, melted butter, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt and Old Bay seasoning.
If you don’t have Old Bay seasoning on hand, no worries. Simply add in a little more salt and maybe a little onion powder. You can definitely customize the seasoning to your liking.
Starting with your wet ingredients, simply mix everything together in a large bowl setting aside 1/3 cup of the cheddar cheese for later. The consistency of the batter is a bit like mashed potatoes, but don’t worry, they’ll bake to perfection.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and plop down 12 blobs of the dough. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 8 minutes and then evenly sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar on top of each biscuit. Continue baking for an additional 3-5 minutes or until they start to turn that beautiful golden brown color.
Sprinkle with a little dried parsley for that finishing touch. Yummy!! These biscuits are soft in the middle with that beautiful crispy texture on the outside. You won’t be disappointed.
